Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how FrameReady Camera, whose iPhone icon is shown as FrameReady, handles information in connection with the iOS app, support communication and these GitHub Pages legal pages.

Short version: FrameReady Camera is designed as a local-first creator camera app. Camera preview, face position checks, recordings, thumbnails, cover frames, scripts, project data and settings are intended to stay on your device unless you choose to export, share, save to Photos or contact support.

Scope

This policy covers the FrameReady Camera iOS app, support emails and the legal pages hosted for the app. Apple processes App Store downloads, subscriptions, in-app purchases, refunds and related account data under Apple’s own terms and privacy framework. App use is covered by the Apple Standard EULA, referenced on our Terms of Use page.

Face Data and Frame Assist

App Review note: This section describes the app’s face-related processing, use, storage, sharing and retention.

FrameReady Camera uses on-device face detection only to estimate the geometric position of a face in the live camera preview. This helps the app show framing hints, for example whether a face is inside the selected safe area or overlaps with captions, controls, the teleprompter or other layout guides.

FrameReady Camera does not identify a person, does not create a face template or faceprint, does not compare faces, and does not infer age, emotion, health, beauty, ethnicity, identity, personality or other personal attributes.

Face detection results are processed locally on the device and temporarily in memory. They are not uploaded to our servers, not sold, not shared with third parties, and not used for advertising or tracking.

If the user records a video, the video file is stored locally on the device or saved/exported by the user to Photos, Files or the iOS share sheet. Local recordings remain on the device until the user deletes them, deletes the related project, removes the app or exports them using iOS system features.

iOS permissions

The app may request access to camera, microphone and Photos depending on the feature you use. You can change permissions in iOS Settings. If you deny a permission, the related feature may not work.

Storage, retention and deletion

Temporary face detection results used by Frame Assist are processed in memory during the live camera session and are not retained as face templates or uploaded to the provider. Local app data remains on your device unless you delete it, delete the app, use an in-app delete/reset option where available, or share/export it yourself. Videos and images saved to Apple Photos must be managed in the Photos app. Support emails are kept only as long as needed to answer and document the request, subject to legal retention duties.

Children

The app is intended as a creator productivity tool. It is not specifically directed at children. The app does not create user accounts or knowingly collect children’s personal data for provider-operated services. Parents or guardians should supervise recording and publishing decisions for minors.
